Since joining Afton in 2021, Brytain has focused on delivering insights to inform key initiatives that helped broaden and strengthen the sustainability of charter school programs, early education initiatives, and the expansion/reconfiguration of transforming districts and networks. Brytain brings a natural curiosity to the work, leading with invaluable data, financial, and stakeholder analysis that has informed the final output on a variety of projects ranging from local to statewide projects.
A few examples of Brytain’s work include:
- Co-leading quantitative analysis on strategic reconfigurations including grade band reconfiguration, school expansion, and network consolidation.
- Operating as a strategic thought partner with school programs’ finance committees, producing lasting financial accountability and sustainability.
- Performing due diligence analyses for a variety of charter, non-profit, and education-related organizations.
Brytain joined Afton Partners following a brief stint at a data intelligence company, where he was responsible for engaging stakeholders and improving strategic planning. The role supported several initiatives under the guidance of the chief office team, improving customer success management and efficiency for senior leadership. Brytain transitioned from an Analyst to Associate at Afton starting in 2022, where he became more involved in the strategic implementation of deliverables and began to co-lead FP&A initiatives.
Brytain attended Colby College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics. While attending Colby, Brytain, a QuesBridge alum, served in several leadership roles representing the student body, most notably as a chapter president for the Colby campus. Outside of Afton, Brytain is a member of the Believe Circle City High School (BCCHS) Finance Committee, coaches youth basketball, dominates a local basketball recreation league, travels to one new country a year, and enjoys spending time with his two pet Guinea Pigs, Sam and Lofi.
