Analyst; Oxnard, CA

Liz has been with Afton Partners since 2022 as an Analyst, dedicated to strengthening social systems and putting people first. Her expertise lies in developing and implementing comprehensive data collection and analysis plans, as well as synthesizing large datasets to uncover trends and actionable insights. Liz is proficient in a variety of data analysis and visualization tools, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau. In addition to her technical skills, she brings extensive experience in stakeholder engagement, understanding the importance of co-creating solutions and empowering the communities impacted by critical decisions. 

Liz has contributed her skillsets to multiple projects, including:  

• Supported a statewide task force by gathering, cleaning, and analyzing feedback from over 900 early care and education providers around the state through surveys and focus groups to inform recommendations to improve access to and utilization of essential benefits, including healthcare, retirement, and paid time off. 

• Assisted a county workforce board in assessing about 40 employers’ hiring and retention challenges, by cleaning and analyzing data from focus groups and surveys, and offering recommendations to improve and align services to better meet employer needs. 

• Supported a state department by providing technical support and data management across various engagement methods, including data cleaning and analysis for over 2,500 touchpoints across their transition advisory committee, internal and external listening sessions, and regional listening sessions. 

• Assisted a consortium working to upskill early childhood professionals, by cleaning and analyzing data from 62 higher education institutions and assisting in report writing. 

Liz is originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan where she received her bachelor’s degree in economics.
