Tony is a Senior Associate at Afton Partners, where he supports charter school client partners with rigorous financial modeling, budgeting, and strategic advisory. He brings more than 10 years of progressive finance leadership from a $100M+ multi-campus charter network serving over 5,000 students, where he led network-wide budgeting and forecasting under real-world enrollment and funding uncertainty.

Tony’s experience includes:

• Leading network-wide annual budgeting and forecasting, aligning enrollment projections, staffing plans, and cost structure to financial targets.
• Directing structured budget review meetings and delivering variance analysis and enrollment impact assessments to support leadership decision-making.
• Building enrollment- and staffing-driven scenario models and rolling forecasts to improve visibility into revenue, expense, and staffing trends.
• Leading full-cycle payroll operations for 500+ employees and supervising payroll and grant accounting functions to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Prior to joining Afton, Tony spent nearly a decade at Rocky Mountain Prep (formerly Strive Prep), progressing from Accounting Manager to Managing Director of Financial Planning & Budget Management. During that time, he served as the primary financial liaison between central office and campus leaders, supported financial integration during the organizations’ 2023 merger, and introduced sub-budget tracking frameworks to strengthen budget discipline across schools. He began his career as an Assurance Associate at PwC, conducting audit procedures and financial statement testing across multiple client engagements.

Tony holds an MBA from the University of North Dakota and is a licensed CPA. Outside of work, Tony is an avid golfer, and enjoys spending weekends outdoors with his family in Colorado.
