John is a Senior Associate at Afton. He supports the Charter School Finance Team on financial sustainability initiatives with financial modeling, review of legal documents, research and charter school strategy. Excited to advance educational opportunity for young scholars of all backgrounds, John brings 20+ years of experience in Fortune 500 corporations, not-for-profit organizations, and even classroom teaching to Afton, most recently as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis for a charter school management organization with over 100 schools.

He holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Southern Methodist University.
