Josh joined Afton in 2023 as Managing Director leading Afton’s Charter School Finance practice. Prior to joining Afton, Josh was the Chief Financial Officer of STRIVE Preparatory Charter School for 12 years and was responsible for all finance, accounting, treasury and grant management functions. His expertise is in staff development, financial planning and analysis, long range planning, budgeting, and forecasting. In his last year with the organization, he led the financial integration associated with the merger of two charter school networks.

Josh holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in Finance from the Stern School of Business at New York University.
