Elizabeth (Liz) Garza is an Analyst at Afton Partners. Liz supports K-12 charter school leaders by creating financial projection models and writing financial capacity reviews and profiles that allow these schools to build organizational capacity and create sustainable practices. Liz’s notable work includes conducting extensive financial analysis and expenditure forecasting for the Raising Blended Learners II initiative in the state of Texas, as well as research on teacher salary scales in the state of Massachusetts.

Prior to joining Afton, Liz spent countless hours working with the Pencils of Promise group at Michigan State University and volunteering at the Boys and Girls Club of Lansing, which sparked her passion for work that would ensure education equity for all children. Liz graduated from the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in Economics.
