Afton Partners

Fulton is a leader in Afton’s charter school finance practice, advising on financial sustainability, financial dashboards and reporting best practices, and facility financing considerations. He joined Afton in 2021 with more than 15 years of experience working in education and finance. Before joining Afton, Fulton was the Managing Director of Finance for Rocky Mountain Prep, a network of public charter schools in Denver, Colorado.  He began his career working in investment banking with Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan in the US, London, and China. Fulton then applied his finance background towards his passion for education, working on financial resource management for school systems in North Carolina, Michigan, and Colorado.

Fulton holds a BA in Economics from Williams College, an MBA and MA in Educational Policy from the University of Michigan, and an M.Ed in Education Leadership from the Broad Center. Fulton was a Fellow with Education Pioneers in Detroit, and a member of the Broad Residency for Urban Education in Denver.
